LeadX organizing UCC data to boost user sales
Equipment Finance News reported on the expansion of the LeadX platform from a sales prospecting tool for equipment lenders into a UCC filing database, after decentralized UCC data proved to be a recurring pain point for clients. LeadX collects raw UCC records as states release them and organizes them so lenders and dealers can search debtors, secured parties, assets, and filing detail in one place.
The article reports that equipment lender KLC Financial, which began using the expanded platform several months earlier, used LeadX search to source and close a nut processing company generating more than $100 million in annual revenue, and a fast-growing aerospace equipment manufacturer weeks later.

How The Data Is Built
State-by-state collection, cleaned with AI
State filing offices release UCC data on very different schedules, which is the practical obstacle to a national view. As LeadX founder and CEO John Sokol described it to Equipment Finance News: “For example, in California we procure that data set weekly. Oregon is monthly. Florida is daily.”
Older records compound the problem. LeadX parses collateral text from scanned filings dating to the 1990s and 2000s to identify misspellings and inaccuracies, and where these pass a threshold, runs the text through a large language model to correct them — which is what makes searching by manufacturer or equipment type reliable across decades of filings.
